Choosing the right kind of table for office cabins is essential. You need to understand what are the requirements of the cabin and the person who will be using it and accordingly choose a table with storage or without.
Modern offices nowadays comprise of large operational floors with rows and rows of workstation tables and chairs for employees without any barriers or grade wise separations, etc. In the olden days there used to be separate cabins and compartments for employees of a particular category or position to differentiate them either by department of by position they hold. Some tables are so designed for cabins that they hold storage capacity within the design. Following a particular furniture theme for an office many companies like to have their tables made with drawers and cupboards within the table. This simply means that the person sitting at the table has just the central portion empty to place his/her feet. Both sides of the table below the top, there are either a set of drawers or cupboards. Many prefer having a large table and hence storage below the top for such tables is convenient and ample. For smaller tables, this would be good, but would not provide a large space for storage. Some tables are designed with storage compartments attached to the side of the table as well, like a separate attachment. However, you cannot make this too big, it has to be the height of the table.

The Tables without storage simply are elegant looking tables designed as per the size of the room, the aesthetics of the rooms and with ample space below the table for the person to move his/her legs. Nothing to hit the leg when moving them. In this case the table can be smaller and can have just the required amount of electrical attachments for laptops and computers. In this case the cabin is equipped with a wall attached cupboard, with ample storage space, required by the manager. This cupboard is installed on one side of the cabin and can be of any height. Sometimes these are cabinets made at the same height of the table and the counter top created is used for keeping printers and scanners. This keeps the office cabin table free of any other electronic equipment, which is not continuously used.
Modular tables can be made as per your choice of wood, color, size, shape, etc. Tables placed in the cabin are an unsaid symbol of status and position the person sitting at them holds. Hence a good amount of thought should be given before choosing one. Also, the height, durability and overall look should be of prime importance when placing it.
